ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Jyoti, bona fide journalist, editor and PR consultant.
I started my career as a reporter on a local newspaper in Watford, in 2014, before going on to work at national newspapers and B2B magazines. This included Daily Express online, The Sun, People Management and Campaign.
I’ve been responsible for launching two magazines: Modern Work, a magazine from trade body IPSE, aimed at freelancers and the self-employed, which was launched in January 2018. And most recently, Payments Review, from The Payments Association, which was first published in January 2023.

So what am I doing now? I'm working as freelancer across all these areas alongside my job on Performance Marketing World. I specialise in business news and comment as well as leading projects to develop and refine publications.

I worked with Jyoti for over two years and during that time, she oversaw the rebrand of the company's print magazine, Modern Work, and its digital counterpart. Jyoti's skills go far beyond just an 'editor'. Her planning and organisation is ruthlessly sharp, which made my life very easy as the designer. Her copywriting was clear, concise, fluid and funny when it needed to be. But I was most impressed by her role in the creation of the digital magazine. She almost single-handedly built it. She created the business plan to demonstrate the appetite and need for it within a membership organisation and future-proofed the whole thing, all whilst doing her BAU day job. She's been great fun to work with and no doubt she'll be a prize asst to any organisation she is in.
